Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 am–4 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (616) 308-7753. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is grandrapidscoffee.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 248 reviews, which is a strong result for a coffee roaster in Grand Rapids and suggests consistent service.

This place is all about the coffeeβ€”no gimmicks, no distractions, just people who genuinely care about what they’re serving. I learned so much about the coffee, the brewing process, and what goes into making the perfect cup of coffee. If you’re looking for specialty drinks or extras, this isn’t itβ€”and that’s exactly why it’s so good. Just fantastic coffee, done right.

Over the weekend after finishing a job, we decided to stop by Grand Rapids Coffee Roasters for the first timeβ€”and we were definitely not disappointed. β˜• As soon as you walk in, the smell of fresh coffee hits you and it’s incredible. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel like staying a while. We were welcomed by Craig with a big smile and a great attitude. He took the time to explain what he stands for: quality and exceptional coffee. Craig shared where his beans come from, how the roasting process works, and what goes into making a truly great cup of coffee. He even gave us a few tips we can use at home to make our coffee better. You can tell he takes real pride in his craft and loves what he does. His knowledge, passion, and willingness to share made the whole experience even better. Customer service like that is hard to find. He was attentive, welcoming, and totally open to answering all my questions about the shop and the coffee. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Great coffee, great atmosphere, and great people. πŸ™Œ

GRCR is a fantastic place to visit. Saturdays are a free way to learn about coffee. The owner Craig puts out two different free coffee options for the day and walks around and teaches on you about it. Highly recommend this place. They have lots of coffee options for any brewing style at home.

Great stop in if you love coffee, been recommending this place for years to anyone and everyone and they are my go-to for beans when I’m in town. The Saturday experience speaks for itself - hard to beat free coffee, and I love trying the new blends and single origins they put out. The new location looks great! Plenty of seating inside, the ambiance is just right and they have records for sale in the back now as well. Parking out front or near neighboring buildings, just look for the bright blue door. This is the place that turned me back onto black coffee ✌️
